Mission Statement
JournalismTraining.org is devoted to helping journalists everywhere find the training they need.
JournalismTraining.org
JournalismTraining.org was created to provide a centralized location for journalists seeking information about professional development opportunities. The site brings together those seeking training and those best equipped to provide it. The centerpiece of the site is a searchable database of local, regional and national journalism training programs arranged to easily find, compare and determine which training best meets individual needs.
JournalismTraining.org represents a collaboration among journalism organizations, training institutes and individuals and academic institutions that provide journalism training.
The site was developed by the Society of Professional Journalists for the Council of National Journalism Organizations. It is funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

About the Council

The Council is dedicated to increasing communication and cooperation among national journalism associations. The council's goal is to improve the news media through a strong alliance that increases the efficiency of the respective organizations. It focuses on such shared concerns as administrative efficiency, professional standards, minorities and pluralism, and technical-professional innovation.
