CCNMA's mission is to promote diversity in the news media by providing encouragement, scholarships and educational and training programs for Latinos pursuing careers in the news media; and to foster a fair and accurate portrayal of Latinos in the news media; and promote the social, economic and professional advancement of Latino journalists.
Training Mission:
CCNMA holds annual journalism workshops for high school and college students throughout California. CCNMA has held training workshops for community groups seeking to access the media, and management training for mid-career professionals.
