We, the members of INMA, envision the modern newspaper company as the central informational and commercial instrument for the market it serves -- and the foundation for individual freedom and active citizenship in an increasingly inter-connected global community. The newspaper company will best meet its societal responsibilities by utilising marketing principles to achieve financial strength, integrity in its products, and responsiveness to its customers.
Mission Statement

INMA is dedicated to strengthening the marketing of newspaper companies' products, and approaching all activities with a global perspective. To that end, INMA will:
Provide members with information and ideas essential to fostering a better understanding of the newspaper company's role in modern society, and how marketing principles can enhance that role.
Share the vision and perspectives of INMA members with others in our industry.
Be a community that nurtures intellectual vitality and promotes a commitment to excellence that will result in recognition of INMA as an innovative, dynamic, and exciting community within which to learn and participate.
Objectives

Expand its partnerships with publishers, senior managers, and relevant associations to promote marketing of newspaper products.
Establish a training and development presence for members.
Create forums that foster the sharing of ideas among members.
Be international in reach, and bring the relevancy of an international network home to members.
Establish and sustain a programmatic vision that includes, but is not limited to, readership, advertising, strategy, and profitability of newspaper companies.
Continually expand its worldwide network of members.
Generate revenues equal to its vision and mission.
