International Reporting Project - The John Hopkins University

The International Reporting Project gives U.S. journalists a chance to learn about international issues and to travel to any country in the world for an in-depth reporting project. Since 1998, the IRP has been educating early-career, mid-career and senior journalists about the world.

Training Mission:
The International Reporting Project offers the following opportunities to working U.S. journalists:

IRP Fellowships in International Journalism: individual fellowships involving study in Washington, DC at JHU SAIS and a 5-week international reporting project. DEADLINE: April 1, 2008

Gatekeeper Editors Fellowships - IRP takes groups of U.S. editors/producers on fact-finding trips to an important international destination. Past destinations have included Korea, Nigeria, Egypt, India, Lebanon/Syria, India, Brazil and South Africa. Currently accepting applications for Uganda, May 3-15, 2008. DEADLINE: March 10, 2008
